Marshalsea Hydraulics

Company profile
The Marshalsea Company was founded in 1830 by Albert Marshalsea who manufactured horse-drawn carriages. By 1910 it had diversified into coach building for motor cars.

At the outbreak of World War 2, the Marshalsea factory was taken over by the RAF and used to maintain and repair fighter planes. By the end of hostilities, the manufacture of aircraft components had graduated into hydraulic systems for aircraft and guided missiles, and valves for the mining industry. In 1960 the company acquired a London-based company manufacturing hydraulic pumps.
Today, Marshalsea has an established reputation as a manufacturer and supplier to the international offshore oil and gas industry – which demands the very highest standards of engineering excellence and product performance.

In recent years, Marshalsea has built on the experience and skills of its workforce to extend its product range. In addition to its high quality pumps and valves, Marshalsea now provides a range of stainless steel intensifiers for subsea and topside applications – plus a new range of water pumps specifically designed for water jet cutting applications.
